About this Event
Join me for a relaxed Manchester morning photowalk, starting in St Peter's Square, where we’ll begin with simple composition techniques using tram lines and symmetry to get everyone warmed up.
From there, we’ll head over to Chinatown Manchester, introducing colour, detail, and street scenes, before making our way down to Deansgate to focus on clean, minimalist photography and learning how to use timing to make busy streets feel empty.
We’ll then move across to the vibrant Northern Quarter, where the focus shifts to street art, textures, and more candid, creative shots, giving you a chance to develop your eye for storytelling.
Finally, we’ll finish in Ancoats Marina, a perfect spot to slow things down and capture reflections, water, and layered compositions—wrapping up the walk in a relaxed setting where you can continue shooting or grab a coffee.
This 2–3 hour photowalk is designed for beginners, whether you’re using a phone or a camera. I’ve been shooting Manchester for the past 8 years—starting on a phone myself—and have since built a following of over 36,000 people. You’ll learn practical, real-world techniques you can use straight away, while capturing a strong set of images from across the city in a relaxed, friendly environment.
