As Seattle prepares to welcome the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and as our community prepares for Juneteenth, and invite us into a celebration of football, Black culture, and the global African diaspora.
Can I Kick It?! - Black Brilliance in Motion is a FREE, family-friendly cultural activation that explores how Black communities across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Americas have shaped the world’s most beloved sport, and how those stories connect to community, creativity, and joy here in Seattle.
Join us for an afternoon of:
- Youth and family-friendly soccer activities
- Food and beverage from local Black vendors
- Music and outdoor community gathering
- Multimedia storytelling and cultural conversation
- Interactive experiences rooted in Black history and global football culture
Whether you’re a lifelong football fan or simply curious about the energy surrounding the World Cup, this event offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and celebrate.
