WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Campaign Cadets: Street Team workshop designed for participants aged 18 to 30 that equips participants with the core principles of branding, advertising, event promotion, guerilla and digital marketing. Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on fieldwork, participants will gain practical experience as Brand Ambassadors in the new Mt. Vernon Manor CDC Community Team.

What Participants Will Learn

• Developing self-empowered attitudes, behaviors, and skills
• Identifying social and situational factors that encourage or inhibit entrepreneurial behavior
• Identifying, evaluating, and validating opportunities in ever-changing, real-world circumstances
• Field marketing fundamentals Understand the key concepts of branding and advertising, and how they apply to real-world scenarios.
• Event promotion: Learn the strategies behind successful event promotion and how to engage target audiences.
• Digital marketing: Get introduced to the basics of digital marketing, including social media strategies and online advertising.
• Soft skills development: Enhance communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with others.

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

A visionary leader in the creative and event industries, Rasheed is the founder and creative/event director of Indie-Life Media and Indie-Life Events.

With over 20 years of experience, he has collaborated with noted global brands and local businesses, creating meaningful campaigns and unforgettable events. As an award-winning entrepreneur, certified facilitator, and community leader, he is passionate about inspiring and empowering students and entrepreneurs to unlock their potential.

In addition to living the independent lifestyle professionally, Rasheed currently serves his community as the president for the Baltimore Avenue Business Association, as the CTE Student Advisor for Audenried and Dobbins High Schools and has contributed as the Youth in Arts Committee Chair to the Philadelphia Task Force for Arts and Culture.
