Come join us at The Queery for our Calm Cuts pop-up barber event!
Calm Cuts is designed especially for neurodiverse, queer, and trans folks who often find traditional haircut environments overwhelming or uncomfortable.
Prefer not to talk? No problem. Need to take a break? Absolutely fine. Communication cards will be available at the chair, and you’ll be in safe hands with our short-hair specialist, @keiracutshair.
We’ll have fiddle toys, ear buds, and blankets on hand, and you’re encouraged to bring anything that helps you feel calm—whether that’s in-ear headphones for music or guided meditation, crochet or knitting projects, handheld games, a book, or a comforting plushie.
Haircuts will take place in a discreet, curtained area of the space for added privacy.
The café will also be open if you’d like to purchase a hot drink or snack on arrival.
This is a pay-what-you-feel event (suggested £12).
Booking is essential.

Keira is a gender neutral barber that specialises in shorter styles and clipper-based barbering techniques, and while she offers more alternative and creative longer fem cuts, she does not provide traditional classic salon-style hairdressing services like polished layering or graduated bobs.
