Woodchester Piano Company presents...

Terribly Sorry, I’ve Got the Blues

plus music from The Plough and Ambient Tea Party

Woodchester Piano Company invites you into a world of sound, film, storytelling and quiet transformation.

Terribly Sorry, I’ve Got the Blues is the latest work from Brighton musician and filmmaker Julian Deane — a meditative road movie performed live. Filmed across Mississippi and Memphis, it blends ambient guitar, piano, field recordings and fragments of found voices and classic tracks to trace a personal pilgrimage through the Deep South. The result is part dream, part documentary, part confession, part fantasy music supervison: a slow, cinematic unravelling of blues history.

For this special headline performance, Deane will also revisit moments from his earlier works The Plough (Live at Happy Startup Summer Camp) and Ambient Tea Party — both intimate explorations of connection, memory. Expect warm light, drifting visuals and the soft hum of machines and insects.

Each Woodchester show is unique: improvised, immersive, and quietly communal. A night for the ears, the eyes and the heart.

For those who like their evenings unhurried, handmade, and a little haunted.
