About this Event
Call to Freedom
Come join us at the Oakleigh Community Church for an event like no other! Get ready to be inspired, encouraged, and empowered to embrace your freedom. This in-person gathering will be an evening filled with resources and with 2 uplifting speakers.
Glori (Gloria Immanuel-Kwame) Expertise in music therapy in the areas of trauma and abuse, vocal training, singer, songwriter, spoken word poet, author, performer and entertainer. Her testimony and music seek to inspire, take risks, resist mediocrity and demand the listener's attention throughout. In short, authenticity lives in harmony with her soulful voice. She is not afraid to sing about taboo subjects. Her single ‘Beautiful Show’ boldly tells her story of surviving domestic abuse in her marriage, whilst leaving the listener with hope.
Jody Goldsworthy is the founder and CEO of Jonathan’s House CIC, a national organisation based in Wales that supports male survivors of domestic abuse. As a survivor, reformer, and writer, Jody brings lived experience, theological depth, and trauma-informed insight to every conversation—inviting churches to become places of refuge, not silence. Jonathan’s House CIC exists to challenge the neglect of male victims and build pathways to healing. Through safeguarding training, survivor-led recovery groups, and digital outreach, the organisation equips professionals and faith communities to respond with compassion, safety, and dignity.
This event is free; however, if you would like to donate, the money will fund future events. There will be an opportunity to do so in the meeting.
