✨ Cacao Ceremony with Mayan Elders ✨For the very first time in Iceland, we are honored to welcome the Mayan Elders of the Tz’utujil Nation to guide us through a sacred cacao ceremony.
We will gather in circle as one community, opening our hearts, receiving ancestral wisdom, and honoring the spirit of cacao together.
For thousands of years, cacao has been revered by the Mayan people as sacred medicine — a plant that awakens creativity, opens the pathways of the heart, and deepens our connection with ourselves, each other, and the Earth. Known as “the food of the gods,” cacao carries a gentle yet powerful medicine that supports prayer, healing, and joyful celebration.
This gathering is a rare opportunity to sit in ceremony with the original keepers of this tradition — the Tz’utujil Mayan Elders — and to weave song, presence, and community as we welcome them to Iceland.
