Wine Tasting Experience at Vineria: A Path Less Trodden
Join us at Vineria Wimbledon Village for an elegant and interactive masterclass combining Italian wine tasting with the theatre of fresh burrata making. Hosted by Mauro Mattiuzzo, a former City lawyer with a longstanding passion for Italian wines, the evening offers guests the chance to explore distinctive regional styles, flavour profiles and pairing ideas in a warm and intimate setting.
Held at Vineria, 70A High Street in Wimbledon Village, this experience is ideal for birthdays, social gatherings and corporate events, with flexible options that can be tailored to suit each group. The event brings together carefully selected wines, thoughtfully paired dishes and a welcoming atmosphere designed to encourage conversation, discovery and celebration.
The program:
Guests are welcome to arrive early and enjoy a drink from the cash bar before the event begins at 7.00 pm. The evening includes a guided tasting of five wines, accompanied by thoughtfully prepared food pairings from Stefano Vallebona and his team, followed by a live burrata-making demonstration and tasting.
About Mauro
Mauro was born in England to Italian parents, which gave him an enduring appreciation for Italian culture, food and wine. After retiring as a partner at a leading London law firm, he has devoted more time to his long-standing interests in cycling, archaeology and Italian wine.
The Venue
Our Old Stable private room is located at the back of our Grade II listed building.
Depending on the seating arrangement, you may be sharing a table with other guests.
