About this Event
Some classes wake you up. This one settles you down.
Welcome to Bunny Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. It's exactly what it sounds like, and it's quieter than you'd think.
Here's what makes bunny yoga genuinely different from anything else we run. Bunnies are prey animals, which means they don't behave like puppies. They won't come bounding over the moment you walk in. They won't tumble into your lap. They move slowly, on their own time, and they extend their trust the way spring extends itself: gradually, gently, and beautifully when it finally arrives. The whole class is built around that pace. You stretch, you breathe, and somewhere in the middle of it all, a bunny decides you're safe and hops over to say hello. That moment is the whole point.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of gentle, beginner-friendly yoga with bunnies hopping freely around the room
- 25 minutes of quiet connection time, where the bunnies may approach you on their own terms
Why people keep coming back
Bunny yoga in Toronto does something a regular yoga class can't. The bunnies move at their own pace, and the room slows down to match them. Your nervous system, which has been waiting all week for permission to settle, finally takes it. Studies (and anyone who has spent ten minutes near a rabbit) confirm that time with animals lowers stress, lifts mood, and makes the rest of life feel a little softer.
The most important rule: stay on your mat
This is the single most important guideline of bunny yoga, and it's why a yoga mat is required for every attendee. Your mat is your designated space, and it's also what keeps the bunnies feeling safe. When everyone stays on their own mat, the room becomes calm and predictable, which is exactly what allows the bunnies to relax enough to approach you. Wandering off your mat startles them and breaks the trust that the whole class is built around. If you don't have a mat, you can rent one at reception. Non-yoga grip towels won't work for this class.
A few things to know before you come
Please arrive 15 minutes early. Class starts on time, doors lock to protect everyone's belongings, and late arrivals can't always be accommodated once we've started reviewing the housekeeping rules.
Wear clean, comfortable fitness attire suitable for gentle movement. Avoid dangling jewelry or accessories that might startle the bunnies.
To keep the energy calm, no spectators. Everyone in the room participates in the class. Disruptive behavior toward the bunnies, other attendees, or the instructor may result in being asked to leave at the instructor's discretion.
Engage with the yoga. The bunnies are wonderful, but the class works best when everyone is moving and breathing together. The calm collective energy is what invites the bunnies in.
Bunnies are litter-trained, but excitement happens. If there's a small accident, we'll clean it up quickly and keep things moving.
Family-friendly guidelines
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Each accompanying adult also needs a ticket and is expected to participate in the yoga, model calm energy for their child, and help ensure safe, gentle interactions with the bunnies. For children under 7, we require a 1:1 adult-to-child ratio. For children 7 and older, the ratio is 1:4. For special requests or exceptions, email [email protected].
Rescheduling, transfers, and refunds
All tickets are final sale. We carefully prepare and socialize the bunnies for each class, which is why we don't offer refunds for missed sessions. Rescheduling is allowed up to 3 weeks before the class, with a 50% rescheduling fee per ticket. Requests after that window can't be accommodated. You're also welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else, which is often the easiest option.
If we need to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, we'll notify you right away and either refund your ticket in full or offer alternative arrangements.
For genuine emergencies, we'll consider exceptions case by case. Please reach out promptly with documentation. Refunds in these cases are subject to a 5% merchant processing fee.
Thank you for understanding the care that goes into each class. These policies exist so that every session stays calm, safe, and meaningful for both the bunnies and the humans who come to meet them.
