The second event in our garden club series will be about starting a garden. Participants will get free seedlings!
About this Event
  • Are you curious about growing food?
  • Have you ever wanted to be a gardener, but you aren’t sure where to start?
  • Do you have some plants growing in the ground or in pots and you’d like some professional advice about how to care for them?

The Building Bridges Garden Club is for you!

This is a free club for gardeners and soon-to-be gardeners (even if you’re just growing on your windowsill) in Ward 8 to meet each other, get your hands dirty, learn some tricks, get some free plants, and have fun.

This second event in the Building Bridges Garden Club series will be guided by Fred KIMANI Anku Kenner, owner of Gardening and Beats. Together, we'll transplant seedlings in the garden and talk about when to plant which crops and other tricks for your first garden. We’ll be in the courtyard garden in Terrace Manor Apartments.

Refreshments included!

If foul weather is in the forecast, check the email you used for registration to see if we need to change our plans. The event will be outdoors. Please dress in clothes that will keep you comfortable and you don’t mind getting dirty.
