About this Event
Tired of waiting for someone else to put up a shelf or fix something simple? This hands-on, confidence-building workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to safely and successfully use everyday tools — and leave with the skills to get things done.
In this 3-hour session, you’ll build your own wall-mounted coat rack while learning how to use key hand and power tools. Whether you're a complete beginner or have tried a few things at home, we’ll guide you through every step in a friendly, inclusive, and non-judgemental space.
You’ll get to take your finished coat rack home!
By booking this workshop, you’re also supporting our charitable work.
We are a Shepherds Bush–based charity and social enterprise that diverts furniture from landfill and incineration and uses the upcycling process to train local adults, including those facing barriers to work, education or social connection. Since 2009, we’ve been creating practical, measurable impact through work experience, traineeships and business incubation. All income from our workshops is reinvested directly into our people, programmes and the wider community — helping individuals build skills, confidence and employability while reducing waste.
This workshop is open to all adults and especially welcoming to women, led by a mostly female team who understand how empowering it is to gain confidence with tools.
