Know Your Customer, Get Competitive!
  • Do you know who your customers really are?
  • How much they will spend on your product or service?
  • Why they choose one over another? Why would they choose you over a competitor?

Having a great product isn't enough nowadays - every business needs to know about the attitudes, behaviours and beliefs of their target customers. You need to understand what matters to your customers. And what drives them to make choices and decisions that ultimately leads to sales and customer satisfaction.

At this workshop you will learn how to access market research and other resources that can help you find the answers to all these questions and more - and it’s all been funded for you!

We'll also show you how to find suppliers, marketing and sales leads and consider who is best to trade with. Learn how to use the Business & IP Centre Manchester’s £5 million collection of UK and global business databases (including market research and company and financial information) to:

  • assess market potential
  • develop a viable business plan,
  • upskill you to ‘know your market’.

To join this workshop you or your business needs to reside within one of the ten GM authorities: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford or Wigan.

You also need to be:

The owner of the business

OR

An aspiring entrepreneur with a business idea you want to develop.

PLEASE NOTE: The Build A Business programme of funded workshops have limited places. Failure to attend on two separate occasions without prior cancellation will result in you being barred from attending future workshops. This is due to the cost of setting up each workshop and making preparations based on the number of sign-ups. This includes Know Your Customer; IP - Protect Your Assets; Business Basics; and Marketing: The Essentials.
