MCRL Linguistics in Action Annual Symposium

The Manchester Centre for Research in Linguistics is pleased to invite you to our annual research symposium, Linguistics in Action, taking place over two days, on the 21st and 22nd of May 2026. Staff and students will showcase the work we do in the centre, guided by our aims of creating change and addressing issues in social justice through linguistics research.

Please sign up to this free event by 16th May. Refreshments and lunch will be provided for those registered. Places are limited so please register early. We cannot guarantee lunch for those who register later.

The event will take place face-to-face in G.27 at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School located at Lyceum Pl, Manchester M15 6BY.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 9:40 am. The symposium will open at 10:00am and will close at 4:50pm on the 21st and 4:35pm on the 22nd.
