Buckshot Princess comes from the haunted swamps and dark forests of the south you don’t see on TV. Crawling onto the stage in 2023, these alt-country upstarts have gone from crowded house shows to large festivals, propelled entirely by a DIY ethos that shows no signs of slowing.Buckshot Princess is outlaw goth— country music for the misfit. Though influences range from The Gun Club, to Lana del Rey, to Dracula, Buckshot Princess isn’t emulating anybody. Call it post-punk honky-tonk or dark Americana, but it’s clear at a glance nobody is doing it like them.
