Name: 2nd Saturday Hike from Little Gabriel Parking to Woods Park Loop

Start Location: Meet at 4123 SW Canby Little Gabriel Parking This is not the main parking lot. It is the parking lot at the South end of the park.
Start Time: 9 am (arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start promptly at 9am)
Distance: 6.5 miles
Elevation Change: 630 ft.
Pace: 2.5 mph avg (our faster paced hike)
Bus Service: give a call if you need transportation.
Hi Hikers, welcome to 2026 let's get in a lot of miles this year and have some fun. Our 2nd Saturday hike on Jan 10th is led by Dave Manville on a route leaving from the parking area at Little Gabriel Park (not the main parking) and taking us around the trails at Gabriel over to April Hill Park and on to Woods Park and back. This nice hike will take us through some of the area parks and cut through trails as we wander along. There is a restroom where we start at Little Gabriel Parking lot.
SWTrails still needs hike leaders, hike ideas, and a Hike Coordinator so let us know if you have a favorite hike we could do, or if you have the volunteer spirit and would like to organize these hikes. It is a fun and rewarding adventure.
Join us! and remember this is our longer and faster paced 2.5 mph average speed hike with usually more than 6-mile distance and some moderate elevation change.
Bring a snack, water, good footwear, and dress appropriately for the weather (raingear? gloves? sunglasses? sunscreen? many layers?). Note that smoking on our hikes and walks is not permitted for health reasons. Kids are welcome and well-behaved pets on leash are welcome also. We always try and find restrooms along the way on these hikes, but sometimes it is several miles to find one so prepare accordingly.
