Central Arkansas: Intro to Tools (January)

Join Dykes With Drills at Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas for this fun introductory workshop. In this workshop you will learn tool use and safety, team building and have fun doing it! You will be trained to use a variety of tools to begin your woodworking adventure. Following your hands on training, you will form small groups, where you will collaborate to take a design from conceptualization to completion as you find solutions to everyday problems.

Please note that this is a skill building workshop. Participants will work in small groups to design and build something that will allow them to practice the new skills they learned. Individuals will not be making an item to take home with them.

ACCESSIBILITY
• Do you have a low scent tolerance? We ask that our participants refrain from using extreme scents, though cannot guarantee the workshop space will be scent free. Please know that sawdust is present in the shop and we have masks available upon request.
• Do you use ASL? We currently don’t have translation available, and would love to work with you about how you can access our workshops.
