About Yana Nikol & Cristian Perez
Flutist, arranger, and composer Yana Nikol blends her classical foundation with jazz and global folk traditions. An active performer across the DMV, she is also the creator of Project Locrea, an award-winning world-fusion ensemble dedicated to cultural connection through music.
Argentine-American guitarist and composer Cristian Perez is known for his expressive 7-string playing and genre-crossing style shaped by classical, jazz, and world music. His debut album Anima Mundi earned international acclaim, and he is a WAMMIE Award–winning Artist in Residence alum of Strathmore.
Together, Yana and Cristian create vibrant, globally inspired performances that weave classical finesse, improvisation, and folk influences into a captivating musical experience.
