About this Event
Broken World is a space for Toronto poets to connect, collaborate, and share their work with one another. This evening consists of an intimate poetry community mingle where you can meet new friends and spend time with old ones, with themed poetry prompts available around the space to inspire you to create new work, followed by an open mic to close out the night. Feel free to write by yourself, chat with others, grab a drink, listen to other people's work, or collaborate on poems in groups!
After the event, you're welcomed to share any poetry that was created from this event with the organizers through our instagram, @brokenworldpoets. We will post it on our page!
This event is a fundraiser for the Al-Ghazali family in Palestine.
Venue information: Bampot House is unfortunately not fully wheelchair accessible. There are three steps up to the entrance (and a fairly steep ramp), as well as about 25 steps to enter the back room, which includes a hallway with two steps up and three steps down.
There are two gender neutral washrooms on site.
Bampot House is not a scent-free space.
Bampot House is very transit accessible, located on the 94 Bus route, at Harbord and Bathurst. We are also about a 5-10 minute walk south from Bathurst subway station.
If there are any concerns about access needs, please contact the facilitator or [email protected]
