Join us for a 6-week introduction to the basic principles of Ki Aikido, classes on Tuesdays, 7 - 9pm.
Aikido works in many situations and has benefits across your life and interactions with other people. In this six week course, you will learn the basic principles of Ki Aikido, and a range of aikido exercises in a way that is accessible to anyone.
These will include:
- Ki for health exercises to loosen and lengthen the body
- Ki development exercises to train physical efficiency, based on relaxation and posture
- Principles of mind and body co-ordination – demonstrating how mind and body work together to create greater resilience
- How to fall and roll safely
- How to work with a partner without creating conflict
- A set of beginner level throws and falls
You do not NEED to do a beginners course - you can join at any time -however there are certain advantages of starting with this course, including:
- starting at the same time as other beginners
- practising together at the same level
- introductory classes designed specifically for you
- a discounted rate on classes
