🎬 About the Film: This Ain’t Normal! – Youth Climate Film Project
This Ain’t Normal! is the exciting result of a youth-led climate film project that began in Summer 2025, bringing together 20 young people aged 8–18 to co-create a short fictional YouTube film blending drama, climate education, and imaginative storytelling.
Working with creative practitioners and filmmakers from YOYO (You’re Only Young Once) and Brent’s Climate Emergency Team, young people shaped every part of the process, from scriptwriting and performance to directing and production.
The result? A bold, humorous, and thought-provoking climate film that captures the creativity, concerns, and voices of Brent’s next generation of climate leaders.
🌟 Celebrating Together Towards Zero Grant Recipients
Together Towards Zero is Brent’s small-grant programme supporting residents, community groups, charities, and local organisations with up to £5,000 to deliver one-off projects that make our borough greener, cleaner, and more climate-friendly.
From community gardens to repair schemes, recycling initiatives, energy-saving projects, and creative climate education, these grants help local people turn ideas into impact.
At the Climate Showcase, we’ll be celebrating this year’s most inspiring recipients across the following categories:
