About this Event
What the Mind Forgot:
Breathwork Ceremony for Grounding, Clarity & Emotional Release
What the mind forgot
The body has been holding
Truth waits in the breath
This three-hour breathwork ceremony offers a grounded, trauma-aware space to release what the body has been carrying, and to reconnect with its innate intelligence. Through conscious connected breathing, carefully curated medicine songs, sacred-sounding, gentle movement, and shared presence, we listen beneath the thinking mind and allow what is ready to move to come forward, be felt, and be released .
This ceremony is offered by Mariel Somatic Therapy

A body-centred practice grounded in trauma-aware breathwork, nervous system regulation, and embodied healing.
This is a breath-based, substance-free ceremony using natural methods only.

The Experience
Breathwork works directly with the nervous system. When the breath becomes rhythmic and intentional, the body can shift out of stress responses and into a state where emotional release, clarity, and integration are possible.
This ceremony weaves together:
• Conscious connected breathwork
• Purposeful movement to release stored emotion, soften body-held tension, and restore natural energetic flow
• Carefully curated medicine songs and sacred resonant sounds
• Periods of stillness for integration
• A closing circle to ground and witness the experience together
The process is guided, trauma-aware, and paced with care. Participation is always invitational; sharing is never forced and is honoured at each person’s comfort level.
⸻
Why Breathwork?
Breathwork can support:
• Nervous system regulation
• Emotional release and integration
• Increased presence and vitality
• Grounding and clarity
• Reconnection with body-based truth
Many people leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more aligned: not because something was added, but because something unnecessary was allowed to fall away.
⸻
