About this Event
The workshop will be a small workshop of 4-6 persons, allowing space for a more tailored experience.
We will begin by a gentle meditation, followed by breathwork and a visualisation, to allow space for you to recharge and refocus. Breathwork calms the nervous system and, whilst in a calm nervous system state, our minds are open to positive visualisation and gain clarity.
Alison is a Conscious Connected Breathwork teacher, who has practiced in London and Indonesia. Her work focuses on creating safe, relaxed environments for individuals to experiene the emotional, physiological and mental benefits of breathwork.
The experience is suitable for those entirely new to breathwork, as well as those with experience.
There are a few medical contraindications to breathwork, as set out below, and the session should not be booked if any of these are applicable:
Medical Contraindications
- Epilepsy
- Detached Retina
- Glaucoma
- Osteoporosis
- Recent surgery or injuries (complete healing required)
- Cardiovascular disease
- Pregnancy
- Asthma (if you have asthma you can participate but you must have your inhaler with you)
Psychiatric Contraindications
- Prior diagnosis by a health professional of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
- Psychotic or borderline psychotic states
- Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in any activities that involve intense physical and/or emotional release.
