About this Event
About This Evening
After the February edition of Being Human exploring the human experience of burnout, we now turn our attention to what often sits beneath it: suppressed anger and rage.
Many of us were never taught how to safely feel or express anger. Instead, we learned to manage it, intellectualise it, soften it, or turn it inward. Over time, that unexpressed energy doesn’t disappear, it lodges in the body and nervous system, quietly shaping how we live, work, and relate.
This evening is an invitation to explore anger not as something to fear or fix, but as a fundamental human emotion that carries intelligence, boundaries, and truth when given space to exist.
Being Human is not a performance, a workshop, or a self-improvement exercise.
It is a space for deep conversation, unspoken truths, and collective exhale.
What This Evening Will Explore
- The difference between healthy anger and suppressed rage
- How unexpressed anger accumulates in the body and nervous system
- The link between suppressed anger, burnout, emotional numbness, and chronic tension
- Why anger is often redirected into self-criticism, people-pleasing, over-functioning, or shutdown
- How rage can be a protective force, pointing to violated boundaries and unmet needs
- The cost of carrying fire inward for years without a safe outlet
This is not about blame or catharsis for its own sake.
It’s about naming what has been held silently — and understanding its impact.
What to Expect
- A grounded, facilitated conversation led by Delphine, drawing from lived experience, nervous system awareness, and embodied leadership
- Language for experiences many people feel but struggle to articulate
- A calm, contained environment where nothing is forced and sharing is always optional
- Space for reflection, listening, and resonance rather than fixing or advising
- A Breathwork Meditation Journey as a closing integration moment to help the body settle and digest what has surfaced
There is no pressure to perform, disclose, or resolve anything.
Your presence is enough.
Who This Evening Is For
This evening is for you if:
- You feel like you’ve been “holding it together” for a long time
- You struggle to access or express anger without guilt or shame
- You notice burnout, numbness, or emotional flatness in your life or relationships
- You were praised for being calm, strong, resilient at the cost of your truth
- You sense there is fire inside you that has never been given a safe place to land
- You want to understand yourself more deeply rather than bypass your emotions
You do not need prior experience with Being Human to attend.
Just a willingness to sit with the reality of being human — as it is.
