About this Event
What does freedom look like to you? Is it breathing fresh air outdoors, or is it more abstract?
First, temporarily experience how it might feel to be an inmate, sitting in the Victorian cells and listening to poetry written by prisoners. Then, decamp to the bright and airy Learning Room upstairs to try all or some of the following:
- Chinese brush painting
- Acrylics
- Oil pastels
- Letter stamps
- Letter stencils
- Collage
I am a freelance art tutor with over a decade's experience in providing art workshops for all abilities. Recent training has also given me an appreciation of the holistic benefits of creativity. I believe anyone can be arty given the right guidance and support. I share ideas and techniques in the hope you will go away inspired to continue at home. I like to demonstrate step-by-step, but also give you the freedom to make your own choices.
The workshop outcomes are not fixed or identical. Treat it as a journey and try not to think of the final destination!
