Do you want to bring a Braver Angels debate to your Alliance? It's not as hard as it seems—but there's one thing you'll want to put extra time into, and that's your resolution. The question you pose, and even the wording you choose, can be the difference between a mediocre debate and a great one.
In this online workshop, the Braver Angels Debate Team will help you ensure your resolution is about a question that people on both sides actually want to talk about. First, we'll go over some basic types of resolutions. After that, we'll look at common pitfalls in resolution development and offer guidelines to help you avoid them. Finally, we'll go over some first drafts of resolutions, giving you a chance to figure out what's less than ideal about them and to figure out how to polish them into resolutions will really get your Alliance debating in the Braver Angels Way.
