About this Event

In this rules-light game run on Zoom, you'll create a ghost character and work with your Scooby-style team to investigate a shipwreck. Speak with other ghosts, communicate with your human contact above-surface (your Storyweaver), and develop and explore connections with other ghosts on your team.

This takes place in the 21st century in the Chariot universe. You do not need to know about this game universe to play, and this timeframe in the universe is quite similar to our own without an emphasis on current events. For those familiar with the universe, you will have the opportunity to unlock a secret critical to the history of the game world!

There is no major game preparation required -- it's all done in one sitting, including your simple character sheets (Google doc, or you can write them down). However, coming costumed, and/or with a concept, is encouraged! Light supernatural elements are permitted, but keep them sea-themed. Suggestions: Merperson, sea captain, selkie, talking plesiosaur, shipwreck victim, a diver who died warm and old with her bed but whose spirit returned to the sea, etc.

Keywords: lighthearted, Scooby gang, mystery format, TTRPG, rules-light, light exploration of death and societal fears, being helpful, character-driven RP

Content warning: death, grief, drowning as cause of death (veil)

This game will not include deceased pet spirits, but may have deceased sea creature spirits, such as a friendly octopus who witnessed the sinking of the vessel. Players and characters 18+ only. Safety briefing at top of session.
