Eddie Murphy stars as Marcus Graham, a hotshot ad exec who’s also a very ’90s-style male chauvinist. When he meets his new boss, Jacqueline Broyer (Robin Givens), Marcus discovers that she is essentially a female version of himself, and he realizes he is receiving the same treatment that he delivers to others. What you send out comes back to you, as the title so eloquently reminds us.
Guests are invited to stay after the screening for the film talk “The Boomerang Effect: Thoughts on a Classic American Rom-Com,” moderated by Jana Henson, screenwriter and American Stage Communications Coordinator.
