Blue Light Sessions presents: Jess Chase Girl Band & Jian & Kitten Co.
Jess Chase Girl Band is fronted by multi instrumentalists and singers Jess Chase, Amelia Murray and Tia Dizon of Brooklyn, NY. Their debut EP “Carnage”, is being followed by the Joker Baby EP in 2026 which is about humiliation, cigarettes and getting fired. Jess Chase's music lives in a world of games and chance, with visuals of dice, billiards, and playing cards. She taps into whimsy through punchy guitar riffs and sound effects. Chase often performs with a tiny vintage synth in hand. Her vibrant energy entices crowds across the country.
With a second EP on the horizon, Chase’s confessional lyricism explores yearning, lovesickness, and personal transformation. Her sound is passionate and explosive. Jess herself is ambitious, unapologetic and warm, and of course not afraid to get peculiar in the studio. The funky curiosity with which she creates is bound to leave listeners connecting deeply to her sound.
Coming from the Pacific Northwest grunge of Tacoma, WA, Jess Chase’s genre-bending creativity ranges from rock to synth pop to country folk. Chase attended Tacoma School of the Arts and NYU for Music Technology. Chase makes music in Brooklyn, NY and her latest show was at the Color Club in Chicago, IL.

Jian & Kitten Co. is an alt-rock band fronted by Jian Ross, who first gained attention online as a cover artist. Now stepping into the real world with her kittens, the band blends distorted guitars with diary-like, confessional lyrics, weaving together the vulnerability of sad girl anthems with the high-energy of punk-infused rock. Drawing inspiration from artists like Mitski, Big thief, and Wednesday, the band hopes to strike a chord with the modern day cat.
