Birth and Beyond Antenatal Classes - in person -Saturday, condensed course

This course is for women and birthing people booked to give birth at Whipps Cross hospital.

Please book ONE ticket per couple (You and your support person)

Please cancel your ticket promptly if no longer required so that someone else can book a space.

We recommend you aim to participate in these classes from 30-32 weeks pregnant.

This is a condensed antenatal course, divided into 3 sessions. The course will start at 9:30am with aim to finish by 4pm.

Course content:

Session 1: Birth settings, preparing for birth, physiology of labour and birth and coping with labour.

Session 2: Deviations from physiological labour, medical interventions and pharmacological pain relief.

Session 3: What to expect in the postnatal period: postnatal care and recovery and care of the newborn.

By booking a ticket you are registering to participate in ALL 3 sessions.

There are regular breaks planned during your day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, nibbles and snacks!

The course aims to be an interactive, safe space for you to ask questions and actively participate.

Car park 3 is the closest to the Maternity Unit (Standard car parking charges apply.)

When filling in the registration form, please provide your phone number and hospital number (MRN - you can find it at the front page of your pregnancy notes), for better communication, eg if classes need to be cancelled.
