About this Event
Jo Jones will take you on a brisk, approximately 1-hour morning walk from 103 Colmore Row, heading through the city centre and out towards the Jewellery Quarter, including canal-side paths and the historic cemeteries at Key Hill and Warstone Lane, before finishing at The Rolling Mill for brunch. The walking route aims to encourage relaxed, open conversation, fresh air, and exercise.
Important Information & Safety
- This is an informal networking walk arranged by Constructing Excellence Birmingham and Black Country Club. We are not professional tour guides, and no formal historical commentary will take place. This is a walk to talk and enjoy the outdoors.
- Participants attend this walk entirely at their own risk. By joining, you agree that the organisers are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event.
- Please always remain mindful of your own safety. This route includes public highways, canal towpaths (which can be slippery), and uneven ground within the historic cemeteries.
- Ensure you are wearing appropriate footwear for a 3-mile walk and are dressed for the British weather!
Please note.
The cemeteries are beautiful in mid-May, but the paths in Key Hill can be a bit steep and uneven near the catacombs. If anyone looking to join the walk has mobility issues, this might not be suitable for you.
