About this Event
Join TBG Seasonal Horticulturist Beni to kick off the 2025 Great Backyard Bird Count. Learn how to identify common winter birds and how to contribute to citizen science through this fun, beginner-friendly tour of the ravine and surrounding gardens. Beni will share his extensive bird knowledge, identification, and photography tips as you explore the ravine and surrounding areas.
Bring your binoculars for a better view (we will have extras on hand) and a mug/thermos for a warm beverage and post-birding chat.
As with any wildlife tour, the spotting of birds and other wildlife is not guaranteed and is not within the control of the tour guide. Please be patient and considerate. The tour will not be rescheduled due to a lack of bird sightings. The tour will only be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
Meet at the TBG main entrance, just outside the George and Kathy Dembroski Centre for Horticulture.
Friday, February 14 from 10:00-11:30 AM.
Registration: Public $22, Members $20 (plus applicable taxes and fees)
