Bird x Butterfly is a Korean-American musical duo based in Chicago. Frances Kang and Paul Kim write and perform together with a rare intimacy: two voices that don't harmonize so much as merge, becoming something neither could make alone. Shaped by years of performing together, Bird x Butterfly have developed a sound that is both cinematic and deeply personal. Their arrangements are orchestrated and expansive — strings, harp, brass, layered synths — yet the emotional center is always the two of them, close and unguarded. Their music sounds like a photograph you can't quite place — familiar and unresolved all at once.
