About this Event
Weekly Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release group.
Hi everyone,
This week's class is Samsara:
Saṃsāra is a Pali/Sanskrit word that means "world". It is also the concept of rebirth and "cyclicality of all life, matter, existence", a fundamental belief of most Indian religions. Popularly, it is the cycle of death and rebirth.
We will be using breathwork initially to create and generate energy and then focussed awarness:
If we look at the first sutra from the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra which invites us to explore the point of death through meditation:
Radiant one, this experience may dawn between two breaths. After breath comes in (down) and just before turning up (out) — the beneficence.
Each out-breath is death, each in-breath re-birth. Between the two is a gap, in that gap you are not breathing, you are dead though you still are. Awareness of that gap and feeling that gap you lose the ego. That still space is void, contentless consciousness and a place of total potential. It is the experience of the death of the ego: an important process.
So we will be exploring death and the potential for realisation before moving onto life: Where we will then bring awareness into the body by invoking the five elements into your chakras using the bīja mantras. The more awake and aware we are in our body, the more we are able to feel and sense our interactions with the world and one another. We will descend through the chakras, rather than ascend.
Travelling Downwards: One interpretation is that you are bringing your spiritual illumination downwards from the crown. So that on the next cycle you can start from a higher place with more knowledge and more illumination
