biggerPicture is the intimate contemporary jazz duo of trumpeter Tobias Bech Lauesen and pianist Laurie Rich, whose close collaboration forms the core of a unique and forward-thinking project. Their music creates a delicate space that invites the audience to embark on a journey of inner contemplation: in a warm, crystalline sound-world that emphasises deep listening and reflection - at once understated and boldly expressive. Drawing on the influences from Ambrose Akinmusire and Immanuel Wilkins to Shai Maestro, Adrianne Lenker, and Nick Drake, biggerPicture weaves diverse musical languages into a coherent, quietly powerful narrative. Subtle textures, open forms, and lyrical interplay allow memories and emotions to surface in broad, poetic strokes, painted across the mind. Their debut duo album, recorded at Berlin’s legendary Hansa Studios in late 2024, features Swedish vocalist Irma Neumüller and will be released on Zennez Records in June 2026. With further live and studio projects already on the way, biggerPicture continues to expand its sonic colour palette - always inviting the listener to pause, reflect, and see the bigger picture.

In an intimate performance, Australian musicians Claire Cross (electric bass) and Harry Cook (piano) fuse their distinctive voices to create neoclassical-inspired jazz-crossover works. Together through sound and improvisation they explore unspoken dialogues.
The duo interweave the textures and timbres of the piano and electric bass, reframing the possibilities of this unusual combination through immersive compositions. Their music draws deeply on influences including Big Thief, Nik Bärtsch, Ethan Gruska, and Skúli Sverrison.
Joining them for this special performance will be guest Simon Jermyn on electric guitar.
