About this Event
This in person workshop is for people who are new to iNaturalist or have started using but want to learn more and improve your confidence in getting your gardening group involved. In the run-up to the Big City Bug Hunt week, this is your chance to get involved!
This is an evening session at Horsendon Hill Farm, making the most of the long summer days. Starting with an introductory presentation and guidance on 'getting set up', we'll head outdoors to explore using the app and spot bugs, and then go back inside to upload and identify records, and do troubleshooting.
This workshop is particularly suited for newcomers to iNaturalist – those who've never used the platform – but there will be useful tips and tricks as well for those who have a little experience already. Whatever your level, we welcome you to come along and enjoy using the platform and recording biodiversity with us.
Your trainer: iNaturalist ambassador Joss Carr. Joss is an avid and passionate iNaturalist user, having submitted over 30,000 observations and identified almost 14,000 observations for others.
Please bring comfortable footwear, weather appropriate clothing, and a water bottle.
