The evening will be guided by Dr. Witton Becerra Mayorga, a Colombian scholar, published author/writer, and visiting professor at the University of Toronto, whose work explores literature, music, and cultural production across Latin America and the diaspora. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of a Colombian academic journal, supporting the advancement and visibility of humanities scholarship across the region.

His research engages with the relationship between music, narrative, and identity, including the global cultural impact of artists like Bad Bunny.

This conversation will include an interactive component (*optional participation!*) and is a place para la comunidad to have an open guided dialogue, inviting attendees to explore the themes meant to spark reflection collectively through questions, insights, and lived/ancestral experiences.

Participants are encouraged to share, and ask questions or simply listen and learn in a space that values exchange over one-directional presentation. Although this is a Latinx/a/e/o and Caribbean centred gathering, we welcome our allies, co-conspirators and accomplices to join in and learn something new and become curious on how music, culture and Bad Bunny have created space for our people on a global scale.
