Improve your understanding of transgender health and the everyday realities of trans and gender diverse people in Australia.
About this Event

Talk Description
There’s a lot of noise out there about transgender health. Join Professor Ada Cheung as she brings together a panel of trans people with lived experience to cut through the misinformation and polarising rhetoric and debunk common myths and highlight real-world impacts of stigma and discrimination. Through personal narratives and evidence-based outcomes, panel members will share how they came to understand their gender, what gender-affirming care and social affirmation have meant in their lives, and how inclusion, or its absence, shapes everyday wellbeing at work, healthcare, and in public spaces. The session prioritises respectful listening, learning, and practical understanding, inviting the audience to leave better informed, more confident, and more connected to the everyday realities of trans and gender diverse people in Australia.
