About this Event
Talk Description
The United Nations declared 2021-2030 the Decade of Healthy Ageing: a global collaboration to improve the lives of older people, their families, and the communities in which they live. This talk focusses on why and how physical activity and exercise are essential elements of healthy ageing, even as mobility changes.

Through discussion and interaction, Hannah Joshi-Sharma will explore the links between physical activity, staying safe, independent and participating in daily life. Covering topics like age related decline, falls, cognitive impairment and frailty, this is an all-ages talk that aims to increase awareness of how to manage these conditions and provide practical tips to set your own goals and plans to sustain movement and exercise into the future.

You’re never too young to think about getting old!
