Building Hope - Voices from Palestine and Camden!
This special community event comes at the end of the Beyond the Checkpoints Youth Visit from Palestine. During November 2025, teenage Palestinians will visit the UK, meeting young people across Lancashire, Merseyside, Yorkshire, Birmingham, Bedford — and, finally, Camden — for a series of cultural exchanges and creative workshops and also to raise awareness of the importance of equality and human rights for Palestinians.
The background to this visit is the terrible situation all over Palestine - in Gaza, Israeli bombing and restriction on supplies of food, medicine, building materials is still continuing. In Jerusalem, thousands of Palestinians face house demolitions and expulsion from their homes. The young Palestinians you will meet this evening are from a city, villages and a refugee camp in the West Bank , so military checkpoints and army and settler violence have shaped their lives as well as those of their parents and grandparents.
Yet this whole visit and this evening of collaborative activities will bring hope and inspiration to the young people and everyone who joins.

💃 *Traditional Palestinian dance* and storytelling
🗣️ *Talks from young people* sharing their experiences and hopes for the future
🎨 *A preview of the Palestinian Children’s Museum project* — a collaborative youth-led exhibition in progress for 2026
🍴 *Delicious food and community stalls* celebrating cultural connection
CADFA is a local human rights charity that brings people together to promote human rights and respect for international humanitarian law.
