About this Event
This outdoor workshop with lovely Sha-Na Dahl of Little Bee Mystique, explores a holistic approach to tending bees through herbs, presence, and evolving stewardship. Over a cup of lemon balm tea with honey, we’ll work with medicinal herbal allies such as lemon balm and nettle, explore the structure of the Langstroth hive, and consider ways to move more gently within conventional beekeeping equipment.
Blending plant medicine, practical hive adaptations, and reflective conversation, this experiential gathering is open to gardeners, beekeepers, and the bee-curious alike.
Participants will receive a small jar of honeycomb and a printed herbal and pollinator guide.
Meet the Instructor: Sha-na Dahl, Little Bee Mystique, Little Blooms & Herbs
Sha-Na has been in the stewardship of herbs and honeybees since 2011. Her approach to beekeeping falls under what is labeled as natural beekeeping or bee-centric, allowing the bees to live in, as close to nature as possible. Evolving outside of conventional ways, Sha-Na brings tending to these special creatures, teachings that work with the honeybee as a living symbol. Sha-Na spent time in West Virginia at the Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary where she learned of biodynamic farming and gardening methods, how cosmic and planetary influences relate to everything here on earth, and how intrinsically involved the Honeybee is. Sha-Na is co-owner of Lu-Na Blooms & Herbs where we are growing medicinal herbs that not only benefit all pollinators but we humans as well.
