About this Event
This year, we run in honor of my sister, JaQuetta Michelle Garrison, while encouraging everyone to simply move their body.
Movement was part of who JaQuetta was. Whether it was running races with her sisters, flowing through yoga, lifting weights, or showing up for any class with trap music—she moved with joy, energy, and purpose.
On July 4, 2024, JaQuetta completed her final race—the Peachtree Road Race 10K. Two weeks later, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer. JaQuetta then passed away on November 22, 2024.
Her family would love for you to join them for a fun and friendly 5K run/walk around Grant Park in Atlanta, a space to honor her legacy, build community, and remind ourselves of the power of movement.
Because movement isn’t just physical—it nurtures your mental and emotional well-being too. It strengthens your heart, builds your body, sharpens your mind, improves sleep, and can help reduce the risk of dis-ease in the body. So come out. Bring your family. Invite your friends.
