Led by industry experts Julie Anne Hennessy, Director of U.S. Commercial Service Los Angeles, and Jason Sproule, Global Aerospace & Defense Team Lead, this quarterly series provides actionable insights to grow your export strategy. The session will include live Dari interpretation by Mosaic Business Counselor Friba Adeel, ensuring accessibility for all attendees.

About the Presenters:
Julie Anne Hennessy is the director of the Los Angeles (West) office of the U.S. Commercial Service, the export promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration. Ms. Hennessy assists small-to-medium-sized businesses to reach their exporting potential by identifying key export markets, developing, and implementing market entry strategies, and providing information on regulations and import requirements in markets around the world. Her portfolio includes the cosmetics, franchising, healthcare technologies, and travel & tourism sectors. She regularly collaborates with a wide range of trade promotion partners throughout Los Angeles to organize outreach and educational events on exporting and is a frequent speaker on Commercial Service programs and services. Ms. Hennessy was honored to be recognized by Women in International Trade, Los Angeles as Outstanding Woman of the Year in International Trade.
Ms. Hennessy began her career in international trade at the Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C. where she worked for six years investigating whether foreign governments or companies were engaging in unfair trade practices. She holds a master’s degree in international Affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. She is a Certified Global Business Professional.
Jason Sproule is currently serving a three-year term as Global Aerospace & Defense Team leader and has been with the U.S. Commercial Service since February 2000. Stationed in the Los Angeles Export Assistance Center, Jason is responsible for assisting small to medium sized firms in the development and implementation of an export marketing plan. He provides individualized counseling to help companies meet their export potential and is a unique link to overseas market intelligence information, contacts, and trade expertise. In his career with the U.S. Commercial Service, Jason has organized many trade events, matchmaking delegations, trade missions, and has been on official overseas assignments worldwide. Jason received his Bachelor of Arts in International Business from California State University, Fullerton. He lives with his wife and three sons in the Los Angeles area.
