About this Event

Welcome to Barnet Council's Repair Cafe at The WorkShop!

This FREE event is open to everyone!

Please bring along:

any small electrical items (laptops, kitchen utensils, vacuum cleaners, etc.)
bicycles to be fixed
clothes and textiles in need of mending
unwanted laptops to be donated

Guidelines:

When reserving a ticket on Eventbrite, please book a repair ticket with a time slot to guarantee your fixing appointment.
People who need their bicycles fixed are welcome to leave their bikes for our fixers to work on as long as they return before 3pm to collect them.
If there are no more tickets for your chosen time slot, please book a "General Admission" ticket and our fixers will do their very best to accommodate where possible.
Please try and come early if possible to avoid disappointment!

Join us for a fun and eco-friendly event where you can bring your broken items and learn how to fix them with the help of our skilled partners. Repair and reuse instead of throwing things away. Let's work together to reduce waste, save some money, and promote sustainability in our community.

Getting here:

We encourage attendees to consider the environment and coming by foot, bicycle, or public transport where possible.

There are several bike stands to secure your bicycle to on Claremont Way, in the adjacent Exploratory Park, in the Pocket Sports Zone and within Claremont Park.
The easiest way to get to Brent Cross Town is by rail, arriving at the new Brent Cross West station, just next to Claremont Park.
Brent Cross, on the Edgware branch of the Northern line, is the nearest tube station, and approximately a 12-minute walk from the Visitor Pavilion when following the yellow signs.
Arrive at the Claremont Way bus stop for service numbers 102, 189 and C11 for Brent Cross Town Visitor Pavilion, parks and shops.
