About this Event

About the walk

Join EFHT and RSPB Northeast London Local Group for a family friendly guided birding walk at Connaught Water. We will look out for birds of prey at Chingford Plain, waterfowl around Connaught Water, and finches and woodpeckers in the surrounding wooded areas.

This will be a slow paced walk with lots of stopping point to watch and identify birds. Please dress appropriate for the weather to keep you warm. Please wear comfortable and weather proof walking shoes/boots as the Forest may be wet and muddy.

Parents/guardians are responsible for your children/young people during the walk.

Meet: Outside Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge, 6 Ranger's Road, Chingford E4 7QH. This is a short walk from Chingford Station.

What3words: duck.bills.atoms

Transport: 8 miniute's walk from Chingford station (Weaverline).

About EFHT and our Guided Walks in Epping Forest

Join our Guided Walks to discover more of Epping Forest and its ecology, heritage and cultural. Walks are led by our expert volunteer leaders. Some are a gental stroll, whilst others are taken at a faster pace. Each walk tends to focus on a small part of the Forest, and sometimes with specific themes ranging from local histry to natural environment.
