It's time to kick off 2026 off to a good start with New Wave of Finnish Heavy Metal-alliance bands Sanity Scale and Stranded Mind. Local Helsinki flavour provided by RylosSanity Scale:
Sanity Scale hails from Kuopio, Finland with a heavy-dose of old school progressive metal and 80's horror movie esthetics. Bands debut album ''Cranehill Asylum'' was released in late 2020 and band is preparing new music for release.
Rylos:
Formed in 2013, Rylos is a Finnish hard rock band with five albums, eight singles, and a reputation for explosive live shows across Finland and abroad, including Sweden, the Baltics, and the UK
Stranded Mind:
Stranded Mind is a four-piece rock/metal band from Riihimäki. The band's style is more traditional heavy, borrowing flavors from other genres within the limits of good taste, producing a balanced and interesting palette. The music is easy-going, laced with nice riffs, melodic vocals and juicy guitar solos. Stranded Mind's debut album "Stranded Mind" was released in 2022 and can be found on all common streaming services. The band is currently working on a new EP "Damnation" which will be released in early 2026.
