About this Event
Please note: * Offer is valid for new visitors only! If you have tried before and would like to visit, please get in touch by email to discuss options.
If you book closer to the end of the month, you can use your visits in December (until the 10th). No class on November 26th.
** Please bring a clean pair of soft sole shoes that you will use only in the studio (details below)
You are not expected to dance for the whole visit, especially during your first visits. You can decide by yourself.
Keep active and enjoy rich traditional music from the Balkans. Balkan folk dances are traditional chain dances with repetitive patterns - no partner is required. This is not Bregovich music! :)
TRY ALONE, TRY ALONG in November! What does it mean?
It is an opportunity for those who would like to join the dance practices but without committment. You will dance behind the main chain of dancers and you will learn on your own. As the practise progresses, the new dances will be explained and you will hear all explanations and can try along the others.
On Fridays, the level of the participants is beginners/improvers and some of them have just started in September. Tempo of the dances is slow to moderate. There are repetitions of some explanations and clarifications.
On Wednesdays, in the first part we repeat some of the dances from Friday but without explanations. The second part is suitable for dancers with better coordination and rhythmic skills and you can try behind the experienced dancers. In any case, during your three visits you will see everyhting we are working on.

What to wear:
Please bring a clean pair of soft sole shoes that you will use only in the studio (trainers are ok, or others that are not with a hard sole. They don't have to be special dance shoes). I reserve the right to refuse participation if you don't have it. Dancing barefoot or with socks is not suitable.
The studio is in Santry, just beside Omni shopping centre, near bus stops and with free parking. Usually you can use the parking spaces that are just after the entrance of the business park but if it is not available, try other parking spaces in it.
