Join our guide Glenn Cook, from the Wildflower Society of Western Australia (Perth Branch), for an afternoon stroll through nearby Baigup Wetlands. Explore the variety of seeds currently to be found in this vibrant patch of remnant wetland. Just a short walk from the current SEEDS exhibition at Ellis House Art Centre, 116 Milne St, Bayswater Western Australia 6053. The walk will depart from Ellis House Community Art Centre at 4.00pm.

Glenn will be able to identify the myriad of local flora, both naturally occurring and species reintroduced into degraded areas of the reserve as part of rehabilitation efforts. This walk will focus on what seeds can currently be seen in Baigup Wetlands. (Glenn coordinates the nearby Friends of EricSingleton Wetland group.
Rosemary Lynch the current coordinator of the Baigup Wetlands Interest Group will also be on hand to answer any questions that arise about the group's activities.
About the SEEDS Exhibtion at Ellis House Art Centre
Prior to the walk be sure to arrive at Ellis House Art Centre at the very least a half hour earlier to enjoy looking at the exquisite SEEDS Exhibition. Arrive by 3.30pm at the latest, come earlier if possible so that you can view the works of six artists exploring the central theme of the "Seed" from their own perspective in a variety of mediums from acrylic and oil painting to textiles and painted seed pods. In a lively and fascinating display of paintings, ecoprints, textile creations, prints and sculpture – as well as specimens of actual seeds and pods to examine – the exhibition explores myriad aspects of the theme: seeds and germination. Featuring works by Jo Haythornthwaite, Michelle Ella, Stephanie Sheppard, Celeste Lopez, Madeline Vincenzi, and Marie Mitchell.
Exhibition open until 26th May - Gallery Opening hours | Thurs & Fri 10-4 pm | Sat & Sun 10-5 pm
