About this Event
BACK TO THE ROOTS
An introduction to ceramics
In many mythologies all around the world there are stories about humans being created out of clay. Clay has been around for several thousands of years and it has been used for medicine, agriculture, construction and art amongst others . Ancient civilizations everywhere have experimented and benefited with and from this material, and it is quite logical, then it is in our soils, beneath our feet.
Dolores @somos.lodo takes us in a journey back to who we were, back to simplicity and playfulness. In an attempt to disconnect from modern daily life Dolores will be offering a two-part workshop where you will be taught the basics of ceramics. Because of the properties of hand-building, some of the oldest techniques in ceramics, the workshop is divided in two dates.Dates:
Friday, Oct. 25th, 17.30 - 20.00
&
Friday, Nov. 1st, 17.30 - 20.00
Keep this in mind and please sign up for the workshop ONLY if you can attend both dates. Limited spaces, a waiting list will be open afterwards. QTBIPOC only. No show up fee is 10 EUR because of the material cost.
The workshop is for free and will be given in both english and german spoken languages (translation to spanish possible if needed).
Big thanks to @stz_prenzlauerberg ✨

QTBIPOC only.
Riesen Dankeschön an ✨
