French-Moroccan psych rock group Bab L’ Bluz (literally “The gate to the Blues”) was born in 2017 from the meeting of the Moroccan singer-guitarist Yousra Mansour and the French guitarist/producer Brice Bottin. Both were passionate about Gnawa music, and the analog universe of the 1960s and 70s. The band were joined by musician friends from Lyon, Jérôme Bartholomé and Hafid Zouaoui, with a stellar debut concert live on Radio Nova followed by a round of European festivals. They released their debut album on Peter Gabriel’s Real World Records in 2020, where it was acclaimed by critics: Mojo (Top 10 world Album of the year), Songlines Best albums of 2020, The New York Times, Vogue Arabia, BBC, Le Monde, Financial Time, Pan African Music, Uncut, Radio Nova).

Many US audiences first heard Bab L'Bluz on their trancey heavy-as-metal showcase in 2025 on KEXP, or from a tour that brought them to clubs and venues. This Miami Beach Bandshell date is their Florida debut.

Opening set by Black Brigade: a Miami-based surf-rock trio playing Middle Eastern lines mixed with Hendrix-style Blues.
