About this Event
Ayurveda is an ancient holistic system of health that originated in India over 3,000 to 5,000 years ago. The word "Ayurveda" comes from Sanskrit, meaning "science of life" or "knowledge of life." Its core philosophy is that health and wellness depend on a balance between the mind, body, spirit, and the environment.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to an overview of some of the foundational concepts in this ancient science, including:
Doshas or your unique constitution and what balance might look like for you;
Agni or the digestive energy that is core to health and wellness in Ayurveda,
Ama or toxins and how they form in the body and lead to disease (and how you can minimize it), and
What Ayurveda says about food combinations to avoid.
We will end our workshop enjoying a cup of digestive tea made from cumin, coriander, and fennel, where participants will receive supplies for daily practice and a discount for purchasing other Ayurveda products.
Once purchased, this workshop is non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding.
